Nashville known as the “Music City” and is also the capitol of Tennessee. If you visit, you’ll learn rather quickly the vast number of day-life and night-life activities here. Don’t forget to check out the Country Music Hall of Fame, Grand Ole Opry and go for a stroll in downtown Nashville while visiting. Hattie B’s is a great option for lunch or dinner.
Knoxville
Knoxville has tons to offer including yearly festivals, theatres, a zoo and many other family-friendly locations! In addition, some of my favorite things to do here include Ijams Nature Center which features Meade’s Quarry (It’s a great urbex looking location), a few other great locations include Knoxville Zoo, World’s Fair Park and Sunsphere.
Memphis
Memphis is known for being Elvis Presley’s birthplace! Cool right? If in the area, you must visit Graceland, which is Tennessee’s most popular attraction and is considered a National Historic Landmark. While in Memphis pay a visit to one of many local BBQ places where you can experience real Memphis BBQ.
Chattanooga
Chattanooga holds a special place in my heart! The beauty here and prime location along the Tennessee River makes it a great vacation spot packed with many things to experience! So, lets talk about attractions, a few of my favorites are to visit Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain (Technically in Georgia), and the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum! Another great location to visit while there is the Tennessee Aquarium.
Gatlinburg
Known as the “Gateway to the Smoky Mountains” this town is a prime location for vacation-goers everywhere! Nearby, you can pay a visit to Dollywood, visit The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or visit the new Gatlinburg Sky Bridge.
