So, we know that times have been rather different lately. I was sitting around awhile back and hoping that The National Park System would continue their Free Admission to National Parks just for 4th Graders. The Program is called- “Every Kid in a Park”. To my recent and oh so pleasant surprise, The National Park System has officially announced that they will be continuing the program for the current 2020-2021 school year.
I heard of this program a few years back luckily when my daughter was a 4th grader. So, when we were planning a trip out west- to Colorado we decided to plan visiting a few National Parks. This is actually how my daughters and even my own love for National Parks began all thanks to free admission to National Parks.
While visiting Colorado my daughter and I were able to use the benefits of the pass so she could experience a few of many National Parks within the U.S. and it also helped for us to save some money. While out west we were able to visit many National Parks for free including: Rocky Mountain National Park, and The Gateway Arch.
This program has been extremely popular and beneficial. It definitely opens opportunities to those who may not be able to experience the beauty and benefits of National Parks. l was super excited to see it come back for this current school year for Fourth graders!
